A Grading Competition is a chance for mounted archers to try and improve their scores on full competition tracks with timer and rules. We may have ribbons and some fun courses as well. Folks must sign up ahead of time for organization purposes and be a member of the Mounted Archery Association of Americas. Contact Caroline for more info.

Caroline and Audrey have been wanted to HOST an endurance ride locally for a few years, and this weekend is it! Want to get up close and personal with the sport of endurance riding? Contact Caroline or Audrey. Lots of volunteers needed… This will be in Cherry Creek, NY. They will not be riding, instead will be managing the event…

A low-key Horse Show for Laurelin Farm students that have taken at least 3 lessons in the previous 2 months. Students will be expected to come early to prepare the horses, and we will have 3 Classes to be announced a week ahead such as Trail class, Pick Your Route over ground poles, pattern and game type classes, that may be timed or judged. Cost is $50 per rider for all three classes. Students may have to share a lesson horse. Please text Caroline to register and for more info!

Bring your horse or use one of the farm’s steady lesson horses.
We will do yoga on the mat, yoga grooming rituals, journaling exercises, a taste of groundwork/dancing with your horse, and some riding yoga exercises, all to give you and your horse a boost of peace! The kids have so much fun with horses, why can’t adults have their own joyful horse day camp? We will play safe, fun adult versions of what the kids do, doing riding mounted games, making horse crafts, packing out our picnic lunches with the donkeys, hayloft nap time, and even having a scavenger hunt at the end to test your horsey knowledge! Limit to 8 people, ages 18 and up, all levels of riding welcome, we will use LF lesson horses, so you can leave your horse at home! For more details please contact Caroline. Must pre-register.

Further your mounted archery skills with Heather Lomax, one of the members of Team USA at last year’s World Mounted Archery Championships in Mongolia! The Eternal Flame Mounted Archery Club will be hosting a full day clinic for folks who want to get started in mounted archery. We will have equipment for you to borrow and try, and horses will be available for rent if you cannot bring your own. All levels of riding ability welcome, just keep in mind complete beginners will be on a leadline. Clinic will cover horse bows, types of arrows, nocking and shooting off the hand, ground shooting drills to hone skills, how to get your horse used to shooting off them, and shooting at the walk and trot if skills warrant. If we have time, we will set up a mini lane and grading course to test your skills on!
